Designed by the British architect Alfred Coutts and his team, the building of the British Embassy in Brasília has a modern design to follow the innovative architecture of the newly inaugurated capital.

The construction of the present Embassy and the Ambassador's Residence started In 1980. Their inauguration was in June 1983.
