Documentation

How can I obtain a power of attorney?

The power of attorney should be signed in front of a Consular Officer from the nearest Embassy, Consulate or Honorary Consulate.

The client should bring:

  • The document that will be sworn before the Consular Officer
  • One original document with the signature and photo of the person who will sign the document.
  • This document cannot be done by post. The person who signs and makes the oath should be present.

In some cases the document can be signed at a local notary and sent to the Consulate to be legalized.

Fee: Please contacts the brazil.consular@fco.gov.uk for fee information and to book an appointment.
